Architecture is everywhere. It competes for our attention, supplying both order and rigidity. We follow along with its conventions and don’t readily take notice of its subtle, passive influence. Yet the built environment pervades our homes, our schools, our workplaces, and our dreamscapes. What do you notice throughout your day? What details do you focus on? Michael Finley is an aspiring architect and photographer base out of Pittsburgh. His education in architecture, a bachelor of Architecture and a Master’s of Science in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, has influenced his artistic sensibilities and is often the focus of his art. He has been exposed to many art and architecture movements and is influenced by Cubism, De Stjil, and Constructivism. Professionally he is an member of The American Institute of Architects, a registered Architect for New York State and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, NCARB Certified and a LEED Green Associate. He enjoys sharing through his photographic artwork and how he views the world.
